SOLD!!

We have great news: our house sold this weekend!!

We got a call on Saturday morning around 10:30 am that someone wanted to see the house at 11:45. Ben said AM? Are you serious, the day after Christmas? She was serious. We told them they had to give us till 12:30. Our house was a wreck from all the Christmas presents everywhere. We did not have time to find each present a home yet so Ben put them all in bags and loaded them in the suburban. We just kept telling each other "sure hope they are serious if they want to look the day after Christmas". So, its now Sunday and we are planning to stay in our PJ's all day! Wrong, another phone call that morning. Same couple want to come for a second showing. So, we get dressed, load up and go to Nana and PawPaw's to watch the Saints Game. Sure are hoping at this point that all of this is worth it and they put an offer on our house. Well, it was. Our agents came Sunday night to present us with the offer and we accepted. Cash sale, no appraisal, not contingent on sale of their house, not asking for home warranty but will do inspection, which is already scheduled for Tuesday. Couldn't have been better scenario. They asked to close by Jan 19th. No can do, will be in Disney, so they put Jan 29th in the purchase agreement. So, we will be moving when we return from our vacation to Disney World. Crazy, hectic but we are all so excited. Here are some pictures of our new house: Our house...

Happy Birthday Ben!!

Happy Birthday to the best husband and daddy! We love you!

Cooper was so excited to be having a "party" for Ben's birthday at Nana and PawPaw's. He told me this morning that I had to pick him up early at school. When I got there this afternoon, he was telling his teacher that we only had 3 minutes or we were going to be late. She asked how old his Daddy was today? His response "OLD" Second person he gave that response to :) We had a wonderful dinner and cake with Nana, PawPaw, Aunt Linda and Uncle Glen. Birthday cake... Singing Happy Birthday... Christmas Day

After playing with all that Santa brought, we got dressed and went to Aunt Sandy and Uncle Tommy's house in Prairieville to celebrate Christmas with Ben's Dad's family. Lots of kids and excitement, so much that I forgot to get my camera out to capture the moment. Cooper loves playing with the boys on that side of the family.

After leaving, we headed to Aunt Linda and Uncle Glen's for a "dinner party". Uncle Glen cooked a standing rib roast, while Aunt Linda made some recipes from Paula Dean's Holiday Cookbook. Cooper joined us at the table for dinner. Aunt Linda had made him a "paper" place setting but he convinced her he wanted a real plate. She even let him drink his coke from her crystal. He loved it. Only snapped a few pictures of her table setting. Can't wait to have dinner parties of my own.

We had a wonderful Christmas! Only thing that was missing was seeing our Monroe family. We hope to get them to travel and stay with us for the holidays we don't go there!

Christmas Eve

We gathered at Nana and PawPaw's for the annual Dumiller/Ezell Christmas Eve. Nana cooked a yummy gumbo which we all enjoyed. It is so fun watching the "great-grandchildren" open their presents. Mimi and Kyleigh...
