Park City Day 4

Ben and the kids headed out for skiing on our last day in Park City, while I stayed in the condo with my knee elevated. I even got a few pics of the kids from Ben!

In the gondola...

Kids after a day of skiing, sure missed seeing them on the mountain but so glad they had fun with Daddy...

Park City Day 3

The kids begged to go to ski school so we agreed and sent them on their way.
Getting the day to ourselves...
It was snowing like crazy...
Where are my skis?...
Look at that powder...
So much snow...
Conditions were not great, so windy and snow coming down...
Last picture of me upright...On my suggestion, we decided to try a new trail for our last run of the day. After passing up our turn, we found ourselves on a trail that was more difficult than we were used to. The conditions were making it hard and I couldn't seem to maneuver. After falling once and managing to get up, it didn't take long for me to take another tumble. With that fall, my left ski did not come out of the binding. The ski twisted in air and took my knee with it. That tumble got me a ride down the mountain in a stretcher via the medic. They took me to the clinic at the base of the mountain.
Knee in a splint...
All smiles, this is before the diagnosis...
Torn ACL and possible menicus...I can't believe...
Before the pain/swelling set in and while I could still walk, we headed to Ruth Chris for some dinner. Might as well have a great meal...

Park City Day 2

On the ski lift ready for our first day of skiing...
Kyleigh and Emersyn...
Cooper and Preston: love the history of these boys. Brian and Nanette took shelter at our house during the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. Nanette was 9+ months pregnant at the time. Several days later, she delivered Preston at Woman's Hospital. They brought Preston home to our house and lived there for more than a month. Cooper was six months old at the time. Look at them now!..
All 4 kids...
Group pic of the Carltons and Oliviers with the selfie stick...

Park City here we come!

Last August, we had our trip to Steamboat for January planned out. Once the flood happened, we decided not to book the trip. A few months ago, I received the LDA brochure for Winter CE and Ski. It was a win-win for all of us! I could get my CE hours and we could have that ski vacation after all! It has been a long 6 months. We are ready for a get away!
Starting vacation off right...
Heading into airport...
So people in La think I am crazy in my Ugg boots being that it is 81 degrees...
Me and my boy on the first flight...
Next stop: Salt Lake City...
We made it, 78 degree temp difference...

Frenectomy by accident

Poor girl fell today at school. She tripped over a threshold and slammed her face into a metal chair. Momma was able to take an xray to check her teeth, but had to call in back up for the laceration. Dr. Brynne was awesome! No sutures needed, just some TLC!
Gonna take some time for that swelling to go down...
Soft foods to make her feel better...
