All About Me Project

Cooper's first school project was due this week. The title was "All About Me". He had to turn in a poster board telling things about himself. We decided to use pictures and stickers to tell his story. He had fun picking out which photos to use.
Cutting out his choices...

Golfing

Kyleigh and I were leaving for a baby shower so Cooper joined Ben and Chuck for the back 9 on the golf course. Cooper has been riding with Ben more often lately. His favorite part is filling the divets with sand. Today, he actually hit some shots, which Ben said were pretty good. My golfers...

AWANA

Cooper started AWANA at church last night. His group is the Sparks. They will meet on Sunday nights. We had heard about AWANA through others from church and some of his Sunday school classmates were joining. He was excited all afternoon and kept asking me when he could go back to church for "Wanna". He was even more excited when I let him know that I had invited Christian to go with him. These two were great friends at the Montessori but have really missed each other over the summer. And now, they are in Kindergarten at different schools. They had a great time and are ready to go back. Coop and Christian...

Watching the Saints

Playing football to LSU songs in the AM, Watching the Saints preseason in the PM. Bring on the Football!! I had to laugh, walked into our bedroom and the boys were in the same pose: Left arm behind the head, right arm over their chest. Like father, like son...

Ready for Football

Summer has ended and school has started. That must mean one thing: LSU FOOTBALL is almost here!! We are all so excited about the upcoming season. We had the chance to buy 4 season tickets this year which we couldn't pass up. So, Cooper will be going with Ben and I to all the games. Ben gets the "fever" more than the rest of us. This morning he put the LSU Tiger Band CD blaring on the surround sound. The boys played football while Kyleigh tried to get in the middle of the action. She loved dancing to the music.

  • Pulling up on everything
  • Getting 5th and 6th teeth
  • Eating and LOVING table food
  • Getting the hang of the sippy cup
  • Saying "Uh Oh", which is so cute
  • Lots of jibberish (for lack of a better term)
  • Started cruising along the furniture but no steps yet

Improvising

While I was cleaning and mopping from the party last night, Kyleigh decided to give me a messy diaper. We were hanging out in my room while the wood floors were drying in the hall to her room. No clothes, no diapers that I could get to but had wipes! So I cleaned her up and the only thing I had to put around her was one of her towels. It didn't stop her though!

Fiesta/Game Night

We had everyone over on Friday night to celebrate with Josh before he leaves for Kuwait for a one year tour! We had Fajitas, Chips and Dips and Margaritas! Lots of fun! I just put lingual braces (behind the teeth) on Megan and I needed to fix something so we set up shop in the laundry room. We made Adam be my assistant...
They are such characters, really not that bad...
Nana was trying to make Kyleigh a bottle but the formula ended up on the floor...
