Friday Night Fun

Tonight, we headed to meet the Vaughn's for dinner at Rotolo's. We went to the Denham High Football game afterwards and managed to sit in the stands for the first time! Good times!

Party favors

I had the afternoon off so Kyleigh and I decided to make her party favors. We had found a cute recipe online and tried it out before we bought all the ingredients. We had several taste testers that said they were good. Hoping our guests love making the cookies like we did.

All the ingredients ready...

We started with pint size mason jars and filled them with 3/4 cup + 1 tablespoon + 1 teaspoon all purpose flour and 1/4 teaspoon baking soda...

Then added 1/4 cup white sugar...

1/4 cup brown sugar...

1/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips...

1/4 cup M&M's...

All finished, ready for stickers, instructions and bows...

Instructions printed and ready to put on jars...

Finished product, so cute and so much fun doing these with my girl...

Sweet surprise!

Ben recently got into a hunting lease near our house. It is the perfect opportunity for him to get Cooper started with hunting and experiencing the outdoors. He had been looking at 4 wheelers and asking me lots of questions about which one he should buy. I didn't act very interested, kept putting him off about when to buy one...all because I had an ulterior motive. I was going to try to pull off a surprise, but I knew I couldn't do it by myself. Jason starting texting and talking with Ben to find out exactly which one he wanted. We found the perfect one but there was only one problem. Once I bought it, we weren't able to get it for almost a week. That meant I had to keep dodging questions from Ben, not an easy task. Jason picked it up and had it at his house. After some convincing and a few mistruths, we were able to come up with a story to get Ben over to Jason's house. I thought he may have had an idea but after seeing his face, I knew he was surprised! Only took me 18 years but finally got him!
