Cooper 5 yr checkup

All was good at Cooper's 5 year old checkup. He is weighing 44 pounds and 44 inches tall. Both of these are still in the 75th percentile. He filled out the same development questionnaire as LAST YEAR but was able to complete all the questions this time. He even added sunglasses on his person drawing. I am going to have to get a copy of the questionnaire and post his answers here. Some things you never want to forget!

3 days until...

we leave for Disney. We have made it to "only one line left" on this calendar. Cooper wasn't too sure when we had to start over with this new calendar but he has been so patient. He is very excited that is almost here.

First U6 Soccer Game

Spring Soccer has started (although our weather feels nothing like spring). Cooper is on Coach Bob's team again. Ben is still helping with coaching. 4 of our players will be playing together for their 3rd season now. Also, Cooper's best friend from school is on our team, along with kids of 2 girls I have known since Jr High. We moved up to the U6 league this season. We are a young team in this age bracket, which showed during our first game. Cooper did manage to score a goal. I have a feeling those may be minimal this season. But, the kids had a great time!Number 3...Cooper and Audrey... Coop and Carson waiting their turn...

Homeowners...finally

We are homeowners! Everything worked out with the new bank and we were able to close on our house on Friday. We are so glad to have that behind us. It has been a crazy 6 weeks dealing with all the red tape. Now onto the fun part: blinds, furniture, drapes, etc! Let the buying begin!

5 months old

Has she made it to 5 months already? They grow so fast. She is doing great with her formula and is starting to like her cereal. She is trying to sit up when she is in her bouncy or car seat because she doesn't want to miss anything! She likes her exersaucer and really LOVES her brother! It is so cute to see them together. He talks to her and she smiles and laughs. She had her first major illness, RSV, for the last couple of weeks. It was no fun for any of us but she was a trooper. Thanks to Nana, Mimi and Uncle Glen for all of their help. We could not have done it without yall. I am happy to report that she is full of smiles again and is back to sleeping through the night. Yeah!
Kisses from Daddy...

Kitchen Cabinets

We love the faux finish on our island cabinets and the hood over the cooktop. We decided to have the painters come back and glaze the rest of the kitchen cabinets to get the same look. We love how it turned out! Before...

Sunday Fun

It had been a long few days of staying home ( mainly inside) because of the weather and Kyleigh being sick. Ben and Cooper were going a little stir crazy by Sunday and decided to soak up some sunshine outside. They put together the "Jump Rockets" Cooper got for his birthday and went to get rid of some energy. They had so much fun! Ben in action...

Snow for the Third Time

Pretty unbelievable but we had another Snow Day on Friday in south Louisiana! This makes 3 times in 15 months. Cooper is starting to think this will be a regular occurrence. And at this point, I can't really argue with him. It only stayed for a few hours but Coop and I enjoyed it while it lasted. Kyleigh napped then had to watch us through the window from her bouncy seat. She has RSV and could not be out in the cold. Looking at the 18th green from our backyard...

Saints Win the Superbowl!

Even though we don't have much furniture, we decided to host our first (small) party at our new house! The cable wasn't working in the keeping room but Ben was able to hook up the digital antenna that we have for tailgating. It actually worked pretty good so we had 2 TVs for everyone to enjoy the game on. Ben made a wonderful Pastalaya! We LOVED having everyone over and the room to enjoy it! Not sure if we can ever top our first party: THE SAINTS WON THE SUPERBOWL! Wow! Watching the game...

Saints Day at my Office

We decided to have a Saints Day at my office to celebrate the upcoming Superbowl. My staff decorated the office with signs, balloons and fleur de lis emblems. It looked so good! We gave cookies and beads to all of our patients that day. Geaux Saints! Who Dat?...

Eating Cereal

After we got sort of settled in the house, it was time to start Kyleigh on cereal. She wasn't too sure at first but is getting the hang of it. Still haven't mastered eating without getting it everywhere. She loves to put her hands in her mouth all the time, even when it is full of cereal. So much fun!

Cooper's 5th Birthday Party

After a long day of moving on January 30th, we all headed to Cooper's Party at Don Carter's Bowling Alley that night. The bowling alley had a tournament during the day, so our only choice was to have his party at 6:30 pm. It was called a "Light Show" party so they had a DJ playing very loud music, strobe lights and smoke machines. It was a little crazy being in the dark and with a Saturday night crowd but the kids all seemed to enjoy it. Cooper was very excited that his cousin Decatur was able to spend that night with him at his new house. Happy Birthday Cooper! We love you! Getting ready to bowl...
