Memorial Day

The kids and I headed to Aunt Sue and Uncle Jesse's for a BBQ and some fun in their new pool while Ben was on his golf trip. Cooper has been swimming at summer camp for the last week but this was Kyleigh's first swim outing for the summer.

Summer Camp

Cooper started summer camp today. Whew, this was a hard decision for all of us. He has gone to the Montessori for the last few summers. He had a choice to continue there or try a new camp at Leaps and Bounds. He wanted to be with his friends at the Montessori but he loved the idea of swimming daily and field trips weekly at Leaps and Bounds. His mommy, on the other hand, was very nervous about her baby swimming or going on a field trip without her around. However, I wanted to keep him entertained this summer. After a couple weeks of thought, HE choose to go to Leaps and Bounds.

Everything packed and ready for camp...

I called to check on him on his first day and everything was going fine. When I picked him up, I was nervous about how his day went. He got in the truck and his first words were "Mom, that was AWESOME!" Oh, music to my ears. What a relief to know he made the right choice for him! He told me all about his day and that he couldn't wait to go back tomorrow. He even yawned on the way home (that is a never for him at 5:30 in the afternoon), which confirmed that he had a busy fun day.

Fish Fry

Life has been so hectic for our family, especially this month. We decided to slow it down this afternoon, have some fun outside and fry up some of the fish that Ben caught. It was so wonderful to spend time together with my 3 favorite people!

Such a MESS

Cooper, Kyleigh and I went by my office today to pick up a few items and have my braces worked on. We were there a very short time but Kyleigh managed to find the toy baskets and dump everything out on the floor. She is such a MESS, and can make a big one too!

Kindergarten Program

Today was Cooper's Kindergarten Program. They have been working so hard to get ready for it. He would come home and tell us stories about their practices, including that he gets to speak on the microphone. I can't believe our first baby is finishing kindergarten. We are so proud of you Cooper, and know you will do great in the first grade!

Cooper and Jude were the last ones to leave the park. The weather was beautiful! Mrs. Janice and I just sat in our lawn chairs relaxing while they wore themselves out playing.
