LVE Carnival and Auction

After soccer, Cooper and I headed to his school for the Carnival and Auction. There were lots of activities outside for the kids (with the teachers supervising) while the Silent Auction was held inside. I have been on the planning committee working on this for several months so I was excited to see how it all came together. The lack of pictures I took of Cooper playing outside should explain it all. It was my first time bidding at a Silent Auction so it took me some time to figure out my strategy. It certainly helped that any money I spent was going to Cooper's school. I had so much fun and ended up winning 8 items, most of them were a great deal. I can't wait for next year!! Oh yeah, and Cooper had lots of fun too!

More Soccer

Scores after breaking away from the pack...Can see the opponent shadow approaching in the last picture. The "fam" has been really impressed this season with Cooper, his soccer moves and how he is learning/understanding the game. It has been so fun to watch. Yes, we are bias, but aren't we suppose to be? Anyway, the other thing we have enjoyed watching is his speed. Yes, he is part Dumiller and I said speed. Ben researched (and if you know him, you know he can find anything on goggle) and found Cooper the lightest soccer cleats available. Ben thought he should try to help him out as much as possible in that department since his genetics were literally slowing him down. Well, it must be working. He actually doesn't look like he is running with cinder blocks for shoes. ALL of us have noticed, maybe there is hope that the Carlton genes will prevail in that category...

Kindergarten Field Trip

The Kindergarten classes at LVE took a field trip to Baton Rouge today. We went to the River Center Theater for the Performing Arts. We watched a wonderful play. It was skits representing 6 books. Cooper's favorite was "I have to go"! After the play, we walked to see the Mississippi River then had a picnic at the park. Lots of fun! Cooper, Charlie and Jude...

Golf at the Bluffs

Cooper went on his first "away" golf outing. He has played with Ben at Greystone several times and loved it. If he didn't last all 18 holes, Ben could drop him back off at home if needed. However, today Cooper went with Ben, Chuck and Will to play at the Bluffs in St. Francisville. A first for both daddy and son! On Hole 17...
