Toy Story 3

Cooper and I have been spending my days off together this summer. Most of the time Kyleigh stays with us but not today. We had a date to see Toy Story 3. We went to eat at his choice, Waffle House. The kid could eat breakfast food anytime of the day. The movie was so cute. We had lots of fun! Getting our tickets before Waffle House...
Almost time for the movie...

A decade ago...

Happy 10th Anniversary! We are so blessed to have found each other! Our love and life only keep getting better. "Then" by Brad Paisley sums it up best:

And now you're my whole life, now you're my whole world

I just can't believe the way I feel about you, girl

Like a river meets the sea, stronger than it's ever been.

We've come so far since that day, And I thought I loved you then...

What I can't see is how I'm ever gonna love you more

But I've said that before...

We'll look back someday, at this moment that we're in

And I'll look at you and say: And I thought I loved you then.

Cooper driving

Cooper's new favorite past time: driving in our neighborhood.

9 month checkup

Kyleigh had her 9 month checkup yesterday. She is weighing 19 pounds 2 ounces, which is slightly above 50th percentile. She is 27.5 inches long, which is slightly below 50th percentile. Her head circumference was 18", which was around 90th percentile. There were a few things on the list that she is not doing yet. But no worries, her daddy already has her practicing on those!

Father's Day

Ben and I made it home from New Orleans on Sunday around lunch time. Cooper, Kyleigh and I gave him his Father's Day gift. Opening his card...

We spent the afternoon at PawPaw and Nana's house visiting and relaxing.

LSU Orthodontic Alumni Weekend

Ben and I made our annual trip to New Orleans for my LSU Ortho meeting. We love getting to see all our ortho friends, just sad that we don't get to see them more often. Friday night, we all went to eat at GW Fins. Excellent food and great company! After eating and a quick stop to our hotel, we all headed to the LSU Cocktail Party at Muriel's followed by our usual stops, Tropical Isle and the Gold Mine. Brian, Nanette, Rich and Amie... Meredith, Jeff, Tripp and Maylin...
Nicole, John, Kelly, Donovan, Ben and I...

Rich, being a huge Miss State fan, got the cowbell from the band and decided to play it...
More cowbell. Rich and Amie will be joining us for the LSU-State Game this year. So, for those who tailgate with us, get ready for some Tiger Bait...
Our FAVORITE place in the Quarter, at least mine...

Jeff offers to take it instead, only for Rich to step right in front of him...
More of Ben on the dance floor, had to document this as it only happens every once in a blue moon...
Kel and Nanette taking a break...
As Ben and I were getting dressed to go to dinner, I noticed a leak in our bathroom ceiling. On our way out, we told the front desk. She said they may have to change our room if they could not fix it. Well, sure enough, when we got back from dinner, we had to change rooms. Ben jokingly said to the receptionist "You are moving us to the penthouse, right?" She laughed and said a bellman would be up with our new keys and to help us with our luggage. While getting all our luggage together, she called our room, said he would be right up and she had a surprise for us! The surprise: they moved us to the Maison Orleans, which is the Club Level of the Ritz Carlton. The room was huge with a fireplace, wood floors and a huge jacuzzi tub. The "club level" included breakfast, along hors d'ouevres and cocktails all day long. Very nice!
Ben and I had decided not to go to the banquet this year. We wanted to be lazy all day Saturday then go out to eat on Saturday night for our 10th wedding anniversary. And that is what we did. We ate breakfast and lunch in our room and stayed in bed until 7 PM. Yes, I said 7 PM. It was wonderful! We did get dressed and went to eat dinner at Dickie Brennan's Steakhouse, the same place we spent our first anniversary.
Many thanks to Moma G for coming to town to take care of Cooper and Kyleigh so we could go out of town. We love you!!
