Change of plans

Ben came home from work on Monday evening complaining of pain on his left side. We got the kids down and both went to bed early, him with the pain and me with a cold. At 2:30 am, he woke me up to say that he was taking himself to the emergency room. He was still in lots of pain and hadn't been to sleep. All his bloodwork and xrays came back normal. He was diagnosed with constipation and sent home with some meds. He got home as the kids and I were leaving. He took some pain medicine and went to bed. When I checked on him at lunch, he sounded worse, now had a fever, and the pain was moving to the lower right. He was waiting for me to come home to take him back to the ER. I let him know he couldn't wait and called his dad, who immediately left work to get him back to the ER. An abdominal CT and several hours later, he was diagnosed with appendicitis and hurried to surgery, which happened last night at 10 pm. They were able to remove it laproscopically. The
appendix was very "necrotic and friable" and ruptured during surgery. So, he is staying in the hospital on IV antibiotics for a couple of days. He is much better, just sore and glad to find out he wasn't crazy enough to take himself to the ER for "constipation". After discussion and some rearranging by Nana, we have postponed our Disney vacation until February 26th. I told Cooper tonight and he took it better than I thought he would. He is just ready to have his Daddy back home. So, Ben can now concentrate on getting better. I will concentrate on being nurse and mover this month. Please keep Ben in your thoughts and prayers.

Thanks so much to Pops, Aunt Linda, Moma G, and Nana for all the help with Ben and the kids! I could not have done it without you.

Here we go...

The craziness has begun. We spent yesterday packing up the kitchen, laundry and Kyleigh's room. Today, we are working on the garage and storage room. Going pretty good, forgot how much I hated packing, and not so easy with 2 little ones. We are trying to get as much done as possible before we leave for Disney. We are closing on the Fawnwood house on the 28th and hope to close on the new house right afterward. The movers are scheduled for the 29th!

5 days until..

...we leave for Disney! Cooper has been marking off his calendar and is excited that there is only "one line left"!

Christmas with the Pitre's

After eating at Kyleigh's reception, we opened presents with the Pitre Family. Coop so excited about his new Wii game...
Chance opening his Star Wars toy...
Tori loving her My Little Ponies...

Kyleigh's Baptism

Last Sunday, we had Kyleigh's Baptism after 11 o'clock mass. Afterwards, we had a reception at Nana and PawPaw's house. Sweet girl smiling at her daddy...
She loves her bath but was not too sure of the water...
Being anointed with the oil...
Sitting with Aunt Linda...
Siblings. Hard to believe that they have the same birthmark, a "blue mark" as Cooper calls it on the left side of their nose... Our Family with Father Paul...
Us with her Godparents, Aunt Linda and Uncle Glen...
Falling asleep for Mimi...Her cake...
Uncle Michael and Kyleigh...
Nana and Kyleigh...

LSU Bowl Game

Ben and I decided to fly out on Wednesday night so we could have a whole day in Orlando before the game. We spent New Year's Eve Day at Universal's Islands of Adventures. We LOVE roller coasters and this park has some great ones. Universal...
Ben at the Spiderman ride...
Cutest pic, love this little girl, not a clue who she is...
Cooper's favorite: Dr. Seuss. We brought him home lots of stuff from The Cat in the Hat...
Outside Islands of Adventure...
At City Walk...
We started the "Business" part of our trip on New Year's Eve. Bonney Forge is the company that sent Ben (and me!) on this trip. Us at a Dinner Party at our Hotel on New Year's Eve...
The owner of Bonney Forge is a huge Penn State fan/supporter. So, the dinner party was decorated all in Penn State. Even had Joe Pa, had to take our pic...
We headed to our hotel bar after the dinner party to ring in the New Year. On the way down, we got in the elevator and there was Brad Nessler. Once we got to the bar, we saw Todd Blackledge then we notice Erin Andrews walking in. I wanted to go get a picture with her, or at least take Ben's with her. He was not game. So, we (mainly him) gawked at her across the room. If you look closely above the bald headed man, you can see HER. I know Julie, we are weak...
Happy New Year...
Sue and Jesse...
Can you say too many Makers Mark and water?
Waiting on bus to take us to game...At the stadium...
We had great seats to the game, in a suite. My first time in a suite. It was kinda weird watching it from this glass box with sound piped in, but it beat sitting in the downpour outside. Also, had great food and drink...
Couldn't sit down...
All the stadium staff trying to put the sod back down on the field... Us at the game. We had a great time. It was a nice little getaway for the 2 of us. Only thing that would have made it better is if LSU could have pulled out a victory...

Photo Trouble?

Anyone having trouble uploading photos? I get "Internet Explorer can not display the page". Not sure if it is my computer or website. Ugh, been trying to post all week with no luck!

Update: Guessing it is our wireless router?? Connected to our neighbor's and had no problem uploading on same laptop. Ben has had trouble signing in to Xbox this week as well. Not a clue but will have to have it checked out.
