Destin Here We Come

Originally, we were planning to skip our trip to Destin this year. We LOVE Destin but everyone had been so busy the last few months and we just didn't plan/book anything. However, Ben really wanted to have a get away and suggested that we should head to the beach once school started and my work schedule wasn't so hectic. Sounds great, right? Well no, we have a child old enough for "real school" now. No skipping school (or at least in his first month) for vacation. After lots of talking, we did find a few days on the calendar at the end of July that fit most of the family's schedule and decided to see what we could find in accommodations. Ben found us this great 5 bedroom, 5+ bath house, The Snappin' Turtle, in the heart of Destin. It was in a gated community that had its own beach access. It had a wonderful private pool, which made up for it not being directly on the beach. The best part: our whole crew (13 of us) got to all stay together.
We left on Saturday morning and the caravan made it to Destin in the late afternoon. After some grocery shopping and unpacking, it was finally time to relax and have some fun. Uncle Glen teaching Cooper how to play pool... Josh, Ben, Glen and Cooper enjoying the pool...
