Hurricane Isaac

Hurricane Isaac decided to grace us with his presence this week. Ben got everything together for our house while I took care of closing the office for the storm.
 Supplies ready to go...
Even though we still had power Tuesday night, Cooper wanted to sleep on the floor in our room...
We woke up Wednesday morning to the arrival of the outer bands of Issac. How cool, the trees are only wet on one side...
Even though it was just beginning, the flag at the Clubhouse is already in shreds...
We lost electricity around 7:30 am so our day consisted of playing games, actually great family fun...
Mid-afternoon, Ben decided to start the generator. The kids were excited to see some TV...
Window Unit, TV and Xbox: what more do you need? Thanks Daddy...

We decided to pack our clothes and head to Nana and PawPaw's house for the night because they had power. As Nana was cooking us supper, the power went out. So, the four of us came back home to the generator and window unit for the night...
Kids ready for bed, watching a movie...

Isaac stayed around for a long time dumping lots of rain. As a result, when we woke up Thursday morning, our neighborhood and surrounding streets were flooded...

That is the tee box for hole #1...

Harley and Cody came to stay with us for a few hours while Lori and Jack checked in at work.
Headed to my office to soak up some AC and let the kids get out of the house...
The boys enjoyed the game room...

After a night/day of our first generator not really working, the kids are freezing because the second generator works very well. Thanks Mr. Jason!..
Coop and Lola on our way back to Nana and Paw Paw's, they have power!..

Although Nana and Paw Paw had power, they didn't have cable. So, we went to Mike and J's to watch the first college football game of the season...
Ben locked himself out at the O'Neals and is letting us know that he is a Loser...
Me, Ky and Ashlyn having some fun with my phone...

All in all, we faired much better than many for the Hurricane. It really turned out to be 38 hours without electricity at our house and a week of school/work missed. Thankful it was not any worse and for the "togetherness" we were able to experience with our family and friends...
